About This Course
Developed from DCED’s guide the “Fiscal Management Handbook”, this course will provide guidance and information to elected and appointed municipal officials to assist them to better manage their community’s fiscal affairs. Most elected officials have not had the in-depth training in fiscal techniques nor do they have the time to acquire them. This class bridges that gap and provides a foundation for understanding the professional language and tasks of day to day municipal finance as well as address the problems and difficulties that accompany municipal finance.
