Emergency Management: Planning and Responding to Flood Events / 3-5-25 / Virtual

March 5 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

$80.00

During a flood, clear communication and coordinated action are crucial. We will explore how to convey information efficiently, work with relevant agencies, and ensure timely responses to mitigate the impact of floods. Being prepared is half the battle. We will explore available resources for preparedness, response, and recovery.

Emergency action plans (EAPs) are essential documents that outline specific steps to take during emergencies. We will delve into the key components of EAPs, and Mutual aid agreements. We will discuss when and how to access and update these agreements, as they play a vital role in disaster response.

After the flood subsides, there is still work to be done and we will look at resources available post-flood.
