FreeThere is no cost for this seminar.
This course is a 1-hour online seminar.
Creating a welcoming environment for constituents and your municipal workforce has never been as important as it is today. The League’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) training helps local officials understand and address the diverse needs of their communities, fostering trust and improving relationships with constituents. It provides a starting point to building skills to better develop policies that foster greater inclusion and equity, ensuring fair treatment and opportunities for everyone – staff and constituents.
You will have the opportunity to reflect upon your experiences and apply the lessons in the modules in your own role.
The course is taught by Abe Amoros, Executive Director for Operations at The League. He completed the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion certificate program at Cornell University and has a passion for sharing and supporting DEIB principles.
This course is designed for municipal officials including, but not limited to all public officials.
